Community Conversations: Faith and Community Based Capacity and Recovery Initiative with DBHDD
Faith and community leaders are essential in these conversations as they are often the first place that individuals and families reach out to when they experience challenges, behavioral health issues and/or traumatic events. The workshops include various leaders from Faith-Based organizations, churches, and communities throughout the state of Georgia.

A Community Conversation with Aids Health Foundation to knock out stigma around mental health and HIV in the Black community.
Teen Mental Health Forums
Panel discussions with licensed mental health professionals, mental health advocates, and people with lived experiences. After the panel, teens get to engage in breakout discussions.
Mental Health First Aid
Silence the Shame offers free Mental Health First Aid Trainings in the Atlanta area. Mental Health First Aid USA is an 8-hour course that teaches a 5-step action plan encompassing the skills, resources, and knowledge to help an individual in crisis connect with appropriate professional, peer, and self-help care.
